5 (S),15 (S) -DiHETE is a 15-lipoxygenase-derived eicosanoid that selectively enhances PAF-induced human neutrophil degranulation. It also acts as a potent eosinophil chemoattractant (ED50 ~0.3 μM) . This lipid mediator is a useful research tool for studying leukocyte signaling and inflammation in cellular models.
