Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Specificity
Detects endogenous levels of cdc2, cdk2 and cdk5 only when catalytically inactivated by phosphorylation at Tyr15. Shows no crossreactivity with cdk4, cdk6 or cdk7. It does detect the yeast homologue of cdc2 (cdc28) when phosphorylated at Tyr19. Species Crossreactivity: Monkey, mouse, rat and Xenopus.
