Description
Poloxamer 188 is a nonionic triblock copolymer surfactant used in biomedical research. In studies with 5XFAD mouse models of Alzheimer's disease, it has been shown to exacerbate cerebral amyloidosis, presynaptic dystrophy, and pathogenic microglial activation, making it a tool for investigating disease mechanisms.
