• Storage Conditions:

  May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50), aliquot and store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

• Specificity:

  Recognizes Leu 5-Enkephalin. The reactivity of Met 5-enkephalin is 2%, beta-Endorphin and Dynorphin A is lss than 0.001%. Does not react to Atrial Natriuretic Polypeptide (human), ACTH (human, 1-39), Calcitonin, Epidermal growth factor (human), Somatostatin 28, Transforming growth factor-alpha and Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide. Specific for Leu 5-enkephalin and is suitable for use in histochemical preparations of tissues or cells.
