  May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

• Specificity:

  Recognizes Histone H3 containing trimethyl-lysine 9 and, to a lesser extent, dimethyl-lysine 9. 10uM of a Histone H3 peptide containing trimethyl-lysine 9 abolished detection of Histone H3 by anti-trimethyl Histone H3 (Lys9) in immunoblot analysis of HeLa acid extracts. Slight signal reduction was observed with 10uM of a Histone H3 peptide containing dimethyl-lysine 9.Slight crossreactivity with Histone H3 peptides containing dimethyl-lysine 9 and trimethyl-lysine 27 was detected using Beadlyte Histone Peptide Assay. Slight crossreactivity with Histone H3 peptide containing dimethyl-lysine 9 was detected by peptide Dot Blot analysis.
