- Storage Conditions: May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. - Specificity: The 14 AA rat control peptide is 83% conserved in chicken, 75% in human and 83% in bovine CNG3. No significant sequence homology is detected with other CNGs. The control peptide, because of small size (MW 1.697kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA and antibody blocking to confirm specificity of antibodies
