c-fos Oncoprotein (Fos)

• Reactivity:

  Bovine, Feline, Porcine

• Storage Conditions:

  May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 °C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

• Specificity:

  Reacts with the ~55kD c-Fos protein. Additional and unidentified bands at ~65 and ~75kD were also observed in Western blots of EGF-stimulated A431 and T47D cell lysates. Reactivity has been confirmed in Western blotting with human U2-OS, SW480, T47D, EGF-stimulated A431, NCI-H69, and jurkat cell lysates. The 55kD target band was also identified in mouse NIH-3T3 and rat PC-12 cell lysates. Based on amino acid sequence homology, reactivity is also expected with porcine, bovine, cat, Chinese hamster, and golden hamster c-Fos proteins.
