- Specificity: Recognizes an epitope localized in the lectin domain of rat surfactant protein D (SP-D). Reacts with alveolar type II cells, alveolar macrophages, types of Clara cells SP-A+ and SP-A- and extracellular deposits. Does not react with Alveolar type III cells. No reaction on rat skin, colon, kidney or liver. Species Crossreactivity: human.
