• Storage Conditions:

  May be stored at 4 °C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 °C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

• Specificity:

  Recognizes the amino terminal H-Tyr-Gly-Gly-Phe sequence of human O-endorphin. Therefore, a high crossreactivity with homologues of identical sequence, such as (Met)-enkephalin and (Leu)-enkephalin and a number of opioid peptides, occurs; the antibody also reacts with porcine and camel O-endorphin. However, the antibody does not recognize human beta-lipotropin and N-acetyl-beta-endorphin. Species Reactivity: Human, porcine and camel.
