Tropesin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (NSAIA) that also exhibits antifungal properties by inhibiting the growth of the phytopathogenic fungus Xylaria green. It is a useful research tool for studying inflammation and fungal pathogenesis in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
