Description
Metarrestin (ML246) is a first-in-class small molecule inhibitor that targets the perinucleolar compartment, disrupting nucleolar structure and suppressing RNA Pol I transcription via interaction with eEF1A2. It demonstrates a favorable pharmacokinetic profile and has been shown to effectively inhibit metastatic progression in both in vitro and in vivo cancer models.
