Dodecylphosphocholine (DPC) is a zwitterionic detergent that acts as a substrate-mimicking inhibitor of pancreatic phospholipase A2. It is widely used in in vitro membrane protein solubilization and crystallization studies, as well as in biochemical assays to investigate phospholipase function and inhibition.
