3'-Hydroxypterostilbene (3'-HPT) is a natural stilbene derivative that suppresses colon cancer cell proliferation (IC50 9.0-70.9 μM) by inducing apoptosis and autophagy. Its mechanism involves inhibiting the p38 MAPK and PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathways while activating ERK and JNK signaling. This compound is a useful research tool for studying oncogenic pathways and cell death mechanisms in vitro.
