Thailanstatin A is an ultra-potent eukaryotic RNA splicing inhibitor that non-covalently targets the SF3b subunit, exhibiting low-nanomolar cytotoxicity against various cancer cell lines. It serves as a potent payload for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), such as when conjugated to trastuzumab, and is used in cancer research for both in vitro and in vivo studies of spliceosome inhibition.
