Description
Alkaline phosphatase is a membrane-bound glycoprotein that hydrolyzes phosphate monoesters at alkaline pH. It is widely used as a reporter enzyme in immunoassays (ELISA) and is a common biomarker in clinical and biochemical research for studying bone metabolism and liver function in both in vitro and in vivo models.
