Description
Alloxan monohydrate is a proteasome inhibitor used to induce experimental diabetes models. It selectively damages pancreatic β-cells, impairing insulin secretion. This compound is widely applied in diabetes research for establishing both in vivo animal models and in vitro β-cell toxicity studies.
