Description
Ceftezole sodium (Falomesin) is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins. It is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, excluding Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Serratia marcescens, and also exhibits alpha-glucosidase inhibition. This compound is utilized in research for studying antibiotic mechanisms and bacterial resistance in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
