DL-alpha-Tocopherol (Ephanyl) is a synthetic form of vitamin E with demonstrated antioxidant activity. It is widely used in research to protect skin fibroblasts and other cell types from UV-induced cytotoxicity in vitro, and to study oxidative stress mechanisms in both cellular and animal models.
