  Store at 4°C or at -20°C if preferred.
  Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
  This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
  Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

  Rabbit anti Serotonin antibody recognizes serotonin and stains serotonin containing cells in human ileum and also stains primary and metastatic carcinoid tumours containing serotonin.
  
  Serotonin (also known as 5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT) is a biochemical messenger and neurotransmitter synthesized from L-tryptophan. Serotonin has a range of functions, including regulation of gastric motility, and may be related to some psychiatric disorders including schizophrenia and depression.
