CDNF Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor Mouse Recombinant Protein
Description:
CDNF Mouse Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 163 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18.5kDa. The CDNF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.Synonyms:
Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor; ARMET-like protein 1; Conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor; Cdnf; Armetl1; 9330140G23Gene Name:
CDNFUniProt:
Q8CC36Reactivity:
MouseTissue Specificity:
Expressed at high levels in the heart, skeletal muscle, testis and brain (at protein level) . In the brain, detected in the cerebral cortex neurons through layers II to VI. In the hippocampus, detected in the CA1 to CA3 pyramidal regions and in the granule and polymorph layers of dentate gyrus. Weak expression in the striatum. In substantia nigra, detected in solitary cells that did not express tyrosine hydroxylase, a marker for dopaminergic neurons. Relatively high expression in the Purkinje cells of the cerebellum and in regions of the brain stem, including the locus coeruleus.Source:

[object Object]Purification:
Greater than 97.0% as determined by (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC and (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.Bioactivity:
CDNF Mouse is able to enhance neurite outgrowth of E16-E18 rat embryonic cortical neurons when immobilized at 5-30 µg/mL on a nitrocellulose-coated microplate.Form:
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.Reconstitution:
2Function:
Trophic factor for dopamine neurons. Prevents the 6- hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) -induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons. When administered after 6-OHDA-lesioning, restores the dopaminergic function and prevents the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in substantia nigra (By similarity) .Shipping Conditions:
AvailableStorage Conditions:
Lyophilized CDNF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution CDNF should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) . Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.Other Gene Names:
