P85a Phosphoinositide 3-kinase a, regulatory subunit Bovine Recombinant Protein
Description:
Phosphoinositide 3-kinase subunit p85a Bovine Recombinant has a molecular weight of 83.5 kDa.Synonyms:
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase regulatory subunit alpha; PI3-kinase p85 subunit alpha; PtdIns-3-kinase p85-alpha; PI3K; P85aGene Name:
PIK3R1UniProt:
P23727Reactivity:
BovineSource:
Leishmania tarentolaePurification:
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.Form:
Sterile filtered liquid formualtion.Function:
Binds to activated (phosphorylated) protein-Tyr kinases, through its SH2 domain, and acts as an adapter, mediating the association of the p110 catalytic unit to the plasma membrane. Necessary for the insulin-stimulated increase in glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in insulin-sensitive tissues. Plays an important role in signaling in response to FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, FGFR4, KITLG/SCF, KIT, PDGFRA and PDGFRB. Likewise, plays a role in ITGB2 signaling. Modulates the cellular response to ER stress by promoting nuclear translocation of XBP1 in a ER stress- and/or insulin-dependent manner during metabolic overloading in the liver and hence plays a role in glucose tolerance improvement (By similarity) .Shipping Conditions:
AvailableStorage Conditions:
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) .Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.Other Gene Names:
Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase regulatory subunit alpha
