Description
Serpinin is a small peptide that activates the protease inhibitor PN-1, promoting its expression via cAMP-PKA-Sp1 signaling to regulate granule biogenesis in endocrine cells. It is also used in cardiovascular and neuroprotection research, where it targets β-adrenergic receptors to modulate cardiac function and upregulates Bcl2 for neuroprotective effects in vitro.
