Description
Kurtoxin is a high-affinity, selective gating inhibitor of Cav3.1 (α1G) T-type calcium channels (Kd = 15 nM) . It also interacts with neuronal L-, N-, and P-type Ca2+ channels and voltage-gated Na+ channels. This toxin is widely used in vitro and in vivo to study the roles of these channels in pain, epilepsy, and neuronal excitability.
