Anti-PPP2R1A Antibody Picoband® (Biotine Conjugate)

  • Background:

Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A 65 kDa regulatory subunit A alpha isoform is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PPP2R1A gene. This gene encodes a constant regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 2. Protein phosphatase 2 is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. The constant regulatory subunit A serves as a scaffolding molecule to coordinate the assembly of the catalytic subunit and a variable regulatory B subunit. This gene encodes an alpha isoform of the constant regulatory subunit A. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human PPP2R1A, which shares 95.2% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse PPP2R1A, respectively.
  • Clonality:

    Polyclonal
  • Tissue Specificity:

Overexpressed in breast, ovarian, endometrial, renal cell (RCC) and non-small-cell lung cancers (NSCLC). Widely expressed, including in kidney, liver, lung, ovary, placenta, spleen and testis.
  • Applications:

    WB,ICC,IF,Flow Cytometry
  • Purification:

    Immunogen affinity purified.
  • Concentration:

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
  • Form:

    Lyophilized
  • Reconstitution:

Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
  • Function:

Negatively regulates T-cell-mediated immune response by inhibiting T-cell activation, proliferation, cytokine production and development of cytotoxicity. When expressed on the cell surface of tumor macrophages, plays an important role, together with regulatory T-cells (Treg), in the suppression of tumor-associated antigen-specific T-cell immunity. Involved in promoting epithelial cell transformation.
