Anti-TRPV5 Antibody Picoband®
Background:
Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 5is aproteinthat in humans is encoded by the TRPV5 gene. This gene is a member of the transient receptor family and the TrpV subfamily. The calcium-selective channel encoded by this gene has 6 transmembrane-spanning domains, multiple potential phosphorylation sites, an N-linked glycosylation site, and 5 ANK repeats. And this protein forms homotetramers or heterotetramers and is activated by a low internal calcium level. In addition, TRPV5 is mainly expressed inkidneyepithelial cells, where it plays an important role in the reabsorption of Ca2+. Genetic deletion of TRPV5 in mice leads to Ca2+loss in the urine, and consequentialhyperparathyroidism, and bone loss.Description:
Boster Bio Anti-TRPV5 Antibody Picoband® catalog # A03218-1. Tested in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, IHC, IHC-F, ICC, WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat. Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.Form:
LyophilizedReconstitution:
Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.Function:
Constitutively active calcium selective cation channel thought to be involved in Ca2+ reabsorption in kidney and intestine. Required for normal Ca2+ reabsorption in the kidney distal convoluted tubules. The channel is activated by low internal calcium level and the current exhibits an inward rectification. A Ca2+-dependent feedback regulation includes fast channel inactivation and slow current decay. Heteromeric assembly with TRPV6 seems to modify channel properties. TRPV5-TRPV6 heteromultimeric concatemers exhibit voltage-dependent gating.Storage Conditions:
Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Fragment:
