Anti-PDCD4 Antibody Picoband®
Background:
Programmed cell death protein 4 (PDCD4) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDCD4 gene. It is mapped to 10q25.2. This gene is a tumor suppressor and encodes a protein that binds to the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A1 and inhibits its function by preventing RNA binding. It also encodes a protein localized to the nucleus in proliferating cells. Expression of this gene is modulated by cytokines in natural killer and T cells. The gene product is thought to play a role in apoptosis but the specific role has not yet been determined.Description:
Boster Bio Anti-PDCD4 Antibody Picoband® catalog # A01105. Tested in Flow Cytometry, IHC, WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human. The brand Picoband indicates this is a premium antibody that guarantees superior quality, high affinity, and strong signals with minimal background in Western blot applications. HumanCross Reactivity:
No cross-reactivity with other proteins.Immunogen:
E. coli-derived human PDCD4 recombinant protein (Position: E346-L446) . Human PDCD4 shares 97% and 96% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat PDCD4, respectively.Clonality:

Apoptosis, Cancer, Cell Biology, Cell Cycle, Cell Cycle Inhibitors, Cell Death, Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling, Invasion/Microenvironment, Nucleus, TranscriptionPurification:
Immunogen affinity purified.Concentration:
Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.Form:
LyophilizedReconstitution:
Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.Function:
Inhibits translation initiation and cap-dependent translation. May excert its function by hindering the interaction between EIF4A1 and EIF4G. Inhibits the helicase activity of EIF4A. Modulates the activation of JUN kinase. Down-regulates the expression of MAP4K1, thus inhibiting events important in driving invasion, namely, MAPK85 activation and consequent JUN-dependent transcription. May play a role in apoptosis. Tumor suppressor. Inhibits tumor promoter-induced neoplastic transformation. Binds RNA (By similarity) . .Storage Conditions:
Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.Fragment:
