Description
Basal Medium Eagle (BME) is a basal medium used for the growth of HeLa cells, mouse fibroblasts, and other human lines, such as WI-38 and MRC-5. Supplementation is required, most commonly with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) for cell culture use, and requires a 5-10% CO2 environment to maintain physiological pH. BME is modified as follows: With • L-Glutamine • Low Glucose • Sodium Bicarbonate (2.2 g/L)  • Phenol Red Without  • HEPES • Sodium Pyruvate Special media modification is available as a Custom Media Service, please contact a technical representative at [email protected] for more details.
