Description

Amyloid β (17-42) peptide is a proteolytic fragment of APP generated by α- and γ-secretase. It is found in diffuse plaques in Alzheimer's disease and can induce neuronal apoptosis via Fas/caspase-8 pathways, making it a relevant tool for in vitro and in vivo studies of amyloid toxicity and neurodegeneration.
