Description
Dimethyl L-glutamate is a cell-permeable glutamate derivative used in diabetes research to study insulin secretion mechanisms, as it enhances glucose-stimulated insulin release and inhibits K ATP channels. It is also applied in microbiological studies for its inhibitory effects on Euglena gracilis growth and cell division.
