Description
This cell-permeable small molecule acts as a calmodulin (CaM) agonist by targeting EF-hand calcium-binding sites. It activates phosphodiesterase independently of Ca2+ and demonstrates cytoprotective effects, inhibiting Ca2+-mediated cytotoxicity and apoptosis with an IC50 of 33 μM. Its application is valuable for researching CaM signaling in neurobiology and cardiology, both in vitro and in vivo.
