Description
This endogenous adipokine is a potent agonist of the APJ receptor (EC50 = 20 nM) with high binding affinity (pIC50 = 8.61) . It is a key regulator of cardiovascular function, fluid balance, and feeding behavior, and has been shown in vitro to inhibit APJ-mediated entry of certain HIV strains.
