Anti-Prostaglandin E Receptor EP2/PTGER2 Antibody Picoband®, Biotine Conjugate
- Background: Prostaglandin E2 receptor (53kDa), also known as EP2, is aprostaglandin receptor for prostaglandin E2. It is encoded by the human gene PTGER2. It may be associated with aspirin-induced asthma. PTGER2 is mapped to chromosome 14q22. This gene encodes a receptor for prostaglandin E2, a metabolite of arachidonic acid which has different biologic activities in a wide range of tissues. Mutations in this gene are associated with aspirin-induced susceptibility to asthma.
- Description: Boster Bio Anti-Prostaglandin E Receptor EP2/PTGER2 Antibody Picoband® catalog # PB9386. Tested in WB applications. This antibody reacts with Human. The brand Picoband indicates this is a premium antibody that guarantees superior quality, high affinity, and strong signals with minimal background in Western blot applications. Only our best-performing antibodies are designated as Picoband, ensuring unmatched performance.
- Synonyms: Prostaglandin E2 receptor EP2 subtype;PGE receptor EP2 subtype;PGE2 receptor EP2 subtype;Prostanoid EP2 receptor;PTGER2;
- Gene Name: Prostaglandin E2 receptor EP2 subtype
- Gene ID: 5732
- UniProt: P43116
- Host: Rabbit
- Reactivity: Human
- Cross Reactivity: No cross-reactivity with other proteins.
- Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence at the C-terminus of human PTGER2, different from the related mouse sequence by four amino acids, and from the related rat sequence by three amino acids.
- Clonality: Polyclonal
- Applications: WB
- Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
- Concentration: Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/ml.
- Form: Lyophilized
- Reconstitution: Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.
- Function: Receptor for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). The activity of this receptor is mediated by G (s) proteins that stimulate adenylate cyclase. The subsequent raise in intracellular cAMP is responsible for the relaxing effect of this receptor on smooth muscle.
