3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine
- CAS Number: 1282040-14-5
- UNSPSC Description: 3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine (CS-92) is a potent xenotropic murine leukemia-related retrovirus (XMRV) inhibitor with a CC50 of 43.5 μM in MCF-7 cells. 3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine also inhibits HIV-1 reverse transcriptase with an EC50 of 0.06 μM in peripheral blood mononuclear (PBM) cells[1]. 3'-Azido-3'-deoxy-5-methylcytidine is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
