Product Name Alternative
ZYME, BMP2B, OFC11, BMP2B1, MCOPS6, DVR4, Bone morphogenetic protein 4, Bone morphogenetic protein 2B, BMP-4
UniProt
P12644
Source
HeLa cells
Field of Research
Stem Cell & Developmental Biology
Purity
Greater than 97% by SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC analyses.Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per μg (1EU/μg) .
Bioactivity
Biological activity was determined by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC-5 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 2-8 ng/ml.
Form
Lyophilized
Storage Conditions
The lyophilized BMP-4 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted BMP-4 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing BMP-4 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.
