LAMP
Description:
The LAMP (lysosomal associated membrane protein) family consists of two members, LAMP-1 and LAMP-2. They are ubiquitously expressed type I transmembrane glycoproteins found in lysosomal and cell membranes. They are only 37% amino acid identical, and show no definitive structural domains. They are involved in autophagy and may bind selectins on the cell surface.Synonyms:
