Description
The insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor (IGF2R) is a large (~2500 amino acid) transmembrane glycoprotein that has been highly conserved in all vertebrates. It is also known as the cation-independent mannose 6-phosphate receptor (CI-MPR) because of its affinity for mannose 6-phosphate (M6P) -containing glycoproteins.
