Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1 (TGF-beta 1) is a member of the TGF-beta superfamily. Members of this family are known to exhibit regulatory activity in immunity and proliferation pathways. TGF-beta 1 signals through SMAD proteins via the TGF-beta1 RI and RII receptors. Mature human TGF-beta1 is a glycosylated homodimer, containing two 112 amino acids chains, with a total molecular weight of 25.6 kDa.

Sterile filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Lyophilized from a sterile filtered aqueous solution containing 10 mM Glycine, 50 mM NaCl, 10% Trehalose, and BSA (4:1 protein to BSA Ratio), pH 4.0.
Reconstitution
Reconstitution: //Centrifuge vial before opening. Sterile 10mM AcOH (acetic acid) at 0.1 mg/ml. Suspend the product by gently pipetting the above recommended solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX! Allow several minutes for complete reconstitution. Storage: //Prior to reconstitution, -20C. For prolonged storage, dilute to working aliquots, store in a manual defrost freezer at -80C and avoid freeze thaw cycles. Expiration date: - 12 months from date of receipt when stored at -20 to -80C as supplied. - 1 month when stored at 4C after reconstituting as directed. - 3 months when stored at -20 to -80C after reconstituting as directed.Storage: //Prior to reconstitution, -20C.
