Target
Native human Ferritin is a purified preparation of human ferritin from liver tissue. Ferritin is a globular protein composed of 24 identical subunits responsible for storing iron in an available non-toxic form. Ferritin is found primarily in hepatic tissue. Serum levels of ferritin are used as an indicator for anaemia and restless leg syndrome. Ferritin levels are a direct correlation for the total amount of iron stored in the body.
