  Required for maintaining the proliferative activity of embryonic cardiomyocytes by preventing premature activation of the negative cell cycle regulator CDKN1C/p57KIP and maintaining the required expression levels of cardiogenic factors such as MEF2C and NKX2-5. Acts as a ligand for ACVRL1/ALK1, BMPR1A/ALK3 and BMPR1B/ALK6, leading to activation of SMAD1, SMAD5 and SMAD8 transcription factors. Inhibits endothelial cell migration and growth. • Assay Principle:

  The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10) . Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10) . Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10) level in the sample or standard.
