ORM1 High Sensitivity ELISA Kit (Human)

  • Reproducibility:

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) : 3 samples with low, middle and high level High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) : 3 samples with low, middle and high level High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV (%) = SD/meanX100 Intra-Assay: CV<10% Inter-Assay: CV<12%
  • Gene Name:

    Orosomucoid 1
  • Gene Aliases:

    AGP 1; AGP1; AGP-A; alpha-1-acid glycoprotein 1; epididymis secretory sperm binding protein Li 153w; HEL-S-153w; OMD 1; ORM; Orosomucoid-1.
  • Gene ID:

    5004
  • Accession Number:

    NP_000598.2
  • Reactivity:

    Homo sapiens|Human
  • Target:

Functions as transport protein in the blood stream. Binds various ligands in the interior of its beta-barrel domain. Also binds synthetic drugs and influences their distribution and availability in the body. Appears to function in modulating the activity of the immune system during the acute-phase reaction.
  • Type:

    ELISA Kit
  • Applications:

    Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent assay-Sandwich
  • Detection Method:

    Colorimetric
  • Assay Principle:

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP) . Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP) . Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of High Sensitive Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (a1AGP) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
