ETFA ELISA Kit (Human)

  • Reproducibility:

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) : 3 samples with low, middle and high level Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) : 3 samples with low, middle and high level Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV (%) = SD/meanX100 Intra-Assay: CV<10% Inter-Assay: CV<12%
  • Gene Name:

    Electron transfer flavoprotein subunit alpha
  • Gene Aliases:

Alpha-ETF; electron transfer flavoprotein alpha subunit; electron transfer flavoprotein subunit alpha, mitochondrial; electron transfer flavoprotein, alpha polypeptide; EMA; epididymis secretory sperm binding protein; GA2; glutaric aciduria II; MADD.
  • Gene ID:

    2108
  • Accession Number:

    NP_000117
  • Reactivity:

    Homo sapiens|Human
  • Target:

Heterodimeric electron transfer flavoprotein that accepts electrons from several mitochondrial dehydrogenases, including acyl-CoA dehydrogenases, glutaryl-CoA and sarcosine dehydrogenase (PubMed:27499296, PubMed:15159392, PubMed:15975918, PubMed:9334218, PubMed:10356313) . It transfers the electrons to the main mitochondrial respiratory chain via ETF-ubiquinone oxidoreductase (ETF dehydrogenase) (PubMed:9334218) . Required for normal mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and normal amino acid metabolism (PubMed:12815589, PubMed:1882842, PubMed:1430199) .
  • Type:

    ELISA Kit
  • Applications:

    Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent assay-Sandwich
  • Detection Method:

    Colorimetric
  • Assay Principle:

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa) . Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa) . Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Alpha Polypeptide (ETFa) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
