  Mll2 plays a role in H3K4 methylation and may therefore act as a transciptional regulator. Mll2 is essential for embryonic development and may also be important for hematopiesis. Further, Mll2 shows an elevated expression in solid tumor cell lines, and may be involved in cancer.
