This antibody recognizes an epitope strongly expressed on the lower molecular weight isoform (180 kD) of the human leukocyte common antigen (LCA) family, close to the UCHL-1 epitope. The same epitope is also weakly expressed on 190 kD (exon B) and 205 kD (exon AB) isoforms of LCA.
