The drug inhibits H (+) -K (+) -EXCHANGING ATPASE which is found in GASTRIC PARIETAL CELLS. Lansoprazole is a potent brain penetrant neutral sphingomyelinase (N-SMase) inhibitor (exosome inhibitor)
