Description
Pirarubicin is an analog of doxorubicin, that acts as an antineoplastic drug. Pirarubicin is transported into cells via a sodium-dependent nucleoside transporter. It is used to intercalate DNA and inhibit the activity of topoisomerase II and induce DNA crosslinking.
