Description
PT1 is an AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activator. Stimulates AMPK heterotrimer (α1β1γ1) activity (EC = 0.3 μM). Selectively increases the activity of γ1- but not γ3-containing complexes. Directly activates AMPK by antagonizing autoinhibition.
