Corticosterone (CORT) is a 21-carbon steroid hormone of the corticosteroid type produced in the cortex of the adrenal glands. In many species, including amphibians, reptiles, rodents and birds, corticosterone is a main glucocorticoid, involved in regulation of energy, immune reactions, and stress responses. BioVision’s QuickDetect™ Corticosterone ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for measuring the quantity of human Corticosterone in serum, plasma and cell culture and other biological fluid. The entire process can be performed within 90 minutes with only a single incubation and a wash step respectively, resulting in fewer handling steps, fewer errors and more consistent results.
