Transcription factor that binds DNA in a non-specific manner, yet also specifically recognizes the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'. Activates the transcription of growth-related genes. BioVision’s c-myc ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of human c-myc in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of c-myc captured from the samples.
