Caspase-1 (CASP1) (Rat) ELISA Kit
- Description: Thiol protease that cleaves IL-1 beta between an Asp and an Ala, releasing the mature cytokine which is involved in a variety of inflammatory processes. Important for defense against pathogens. Cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs). Can also promote apoptosis. BioVision’s CASP1 ELISA kit is a sandwich ELISA assay for the quantitative measurement of CASP1 in Rat serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The density of color is proportional to the amount of CASP1 captured from the samples.
