DescriptionDetects Apoptotic DNA within 90 min, no extractions or columns
-
Summary• Detection method- Agarose gel with Ethidium bromide • Species reactivity- Mammalian mammalian cell types • Kit size- 50 assays • Applications- Efficiently detects fragmented DNA from apoptotic cells
-
Sample TypeCells
-
Features Benefits• Simple one-step procedure; takes only 90 minutes • Fast and convenient • DNA fragmentation can be easily visualized by agarose gel electrophoreses. The new procedure increases recovery of small fragmented DNA, and therefore improves the sensitivity of the assay.

BackgroundInternucleosomal DNA fragmentation is a hallmark of apoptosis in mammalian cells. BioVision’s Quick Apoptotic DNA Ladder Detection Kit provides an easy and sensitive means for detecting DNA fragmentation in apoptotic cells. Unlike other commercially available kits that require 1-2 days to perform the procedure, the new detection method requires less than 90 minutes to prepare DNA, with neither extraction nor using columns.
-
Additional descriptionThe detections of the targets with this kit is a type of test that can be performed on any target containing biological samples after clean up of interfering agents. The assay must be performed following the protocol.
